Chelsea turns to Ben who just shrugs
She don't believe her
She's never been scared and she's not today either
She puts her hand on the door and gets out to fight
She's angry now this bitch has just ruined her night

The two girls clash, hair pulling, fists flying
Chelsea sees blood gushing
The other steps back crying
Chelsea grins as she thinks she's won
Then she looks at Ben's face who's completely stunned

Then there's a pain in the middle of her stomach
The blood's on her t-shirt
The other girl starts running
Chelsea's heart thuds, panic sets in more
As she looks down at the pool of blood
And there's a knife on the floor

She hears tyres screech, she's losing so much blood
Ben's car's gone, he's got a boot full of drugs
She lies there, eyes wide open, facing the sky
Thoughts float out of her mind as she questions why

Her last movements are the tears she's crying
She thinks about her family as she lies there dying
She's alone on her own because of the violence
Can't hear people or friends or help or sirens
She whispers, "I'm sorry, " there's no one on the way
As she returns to an angel, and her soul slips away

With this song I feel one approach would be two have one star images, for example one girl staring directly into camera with black and white edit and singing into camera, and it then cuts to the story line with another actor, leaving the home, being in the car, getting into the fight, with it cutting between the two star images.

Research: Artist Website 1 - Lucy Spraggan

Lucy Spraggan is an artist I thoroughly enjoy and she actually has a contact page on her websie, which I will take into consideration if I do use her music, however it has came to my conclusion that her songs do not use as much visual imagers as I would have hoped.

For example in me previous music lyrics post of "tea n toast" there is lack of visual imagery, however in comparison to Ed Sheerans - Wake me up, which is full of imagery.

However it is nice knowing i have a back up and a way of contacting an artist.

How this research has influenced my planning:

I like the narrative of it 

Research: Another Music Video I enjoy

I thoroughly enjoy the lighting in this video and the use of reflections. I also love the story lines involved. I also love the group choreography in the performance at the end of the video, however it is unrealistic for me to be able to have such a big cast, therefore it may be an option to go to my local dance studio and request some of their dancers to perform behind my new artist.

I love the reflection of the lights and the rain on the glass in this shot, i also enjoy the tracking of the cars next to her and each of their story lines and how they link into the lyrics of the song with the different types of love.

I think this shot in the music video is also very clever, as the star image does not appear until the lyrics begin again and it then contrasts greatly with large lights and her being the main focus performing.

This is one example of a music video I enjoy. I like how it follows their journey and the pace and the lighting of the video synchronise with the beat in the music.


I will be working with Lauren Sharpe and as she is very creative and we achieved near to the same grade at AS coursework, I feel we will work well together and achieve the best video.

Response to brief

This brief intrigues me as I have always been curious to the reasoning behind certain music videos and the creativity involved. I am excited to begin the process. I will certainly need to develop my editing skills as I am currently un aware on how to edit a video. Currently my biggest worry is finding the right song and the right actor to be in the music video as I feel these elements will be crucial. I like an extremely broad range of music.
